In June 2004, the third and final year of data was collected. A number of standardized measures were used such as achievement tests and tests of mental ability as well as measures of learning capacity and changes in rates of learning. On completion of the data analysis and study report, the results of this study will be available on the Arrowsmith School web site. Prior to this in November, 1997, a more limited pilot project was undertaken in co-operation with St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School in the Toronto Catholic District School Board. The Arrowsmith School have made available here a summary of the averaged quantitative improvements seen in the students. Please click on the St. Patrick Pilot Project Summary. To read the comments of the former chair of the Toronto Catholic District School Board on the Arrowsmith Program, please read the news release in the Arrowsmith Locations section of our web site. Technical Papers The Arrowsmith School also provided two more technical papers that were presented in peer reviewed poster sessions at conventions of the American Psychological Association in 1997 and 2000 by Barbara Young, M.A. and Donald F. Burrill, Ph. D.
