he Eaton Arrowsmith School Vancouver site was established by Howard Eaton in 2005 in Vancouver as a co-educational, non-denominational independent day school for elementary and secondary school aged students with learning differences/disabilities. It has a current enrollment of 100 students at its site on the UBC campus. The Eaton Arrowsmith School is modeled after the Arrowsmith School in Toronto that was established in 1980 and has been operating successfully for more than 25 years.

In September 2007 Howard Eaton flew to Toronto to visit the Barbara Young, Founder Arrowsmith Programs. At this three day meeting in Toronto a decision was made to start an Arrowsmith School in Victoria, British Columbia. Thus, the Eaton Arrowsmith School Victoria will open its doors in September 2009. It will also be a co-educational, non-denominational independent day school for elementary and secondary aged students with learning differences/disabilities and attention disorders. It will also offer a full-time program for young adults ages 18 to 28.

Eaton Arrowsmith School Victoria will have a maximum enrollment of 75 full time students and in addition a number of students enrolled in the after-school part time program and in the Saturday motor symbol-sequencing program. The site for the school is being established, but will be located in the Greater Victoria Area, central to the downtown core. Currently, students are being accepted for admissions for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Arrowsmith Program is offered in four other schools in the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) and in five independent schools in Ontario. In addition, the Toronto Catholic District School Board offers the Arrowsmith Program in seven schools. There are now approximately 300 full-time students enrolled in the Arrowsmith Program across Canada.
